Our Executive Team

The Outrigger Media team brings together significant experience from both traditional and online media as well as expertise in technology, sales, publishing and marketing.

Michael Henry, CEO  

Mike Henry, Outrigger Media’s Chief Executive Officer, has more than 15 years of experience in online advertising. Under his leadership, Outrigger has become a major player in online video, with successful lines of business in premium video advertising sales, sales marketing, consulting and technology.

Previously, Mike was SVP, Sales, for Veoh Networks (an online video startup backed by Time Warner, Michael Eisner and Goldman Sachs), where he led the company’s monetization strategy and built the ad sales and marketing teams. While at Veoh, Mike launched a ground-breaking user targeting platform that allowed marketers to address audiences based on the wide range of videos that they consumed.

Before Veoh, Mike held several key posts at Dow Jones & Company, including SVP of Dow Jones Integrated Solutions, the company’s cross platform global advertising division. He was also VP, Ad Sales, at The Wall Street Journal Online, where he built the company’s first online sales, sales marketing and ad operations teams.

Dave Markley, CTO  

As Outrigger’s Chief Technology Officer, Dave is responsible for our overall entertainment media targeting platform vision and execution. Dave has a deep background in customer-focused software, architectures and process, with over 15 years of experience delivering technology product and strategy at a wide range of companies. Dave was most recently Chief Architect at AOL where he integrated ad systems and acted as technical liaison to the NAI and IAB for behavioral targeting and consumer privacy. As the VP of Engineering for Lightingcast, Dave pioneered large scale streaming media ad solutions for market leaders such as AOL, Comcast, Hulu, Scripps, ABC, CBS and others.

T.J. Sullivan, SVP, Ad Sales  

T.J. Sullivan is a seasoned sales veteran with more than 10 years of online media sales experience. As Senior Vice President of Ad Sales, Sullivan oversees Outrigger’s U.S. sales team from the New York office. Prior to Outrigger Media, Sullivan was the Vice President of Sales for Veoh Networks, where he worked with top agencies and clients across the country. T.J. recently completed his term as President of 212, the Interactive Advertising Club of NY. Earlier in his career Sullivan worked for CBS, AtomShockwave and the Lycos Network. Before his life in the online world, Sullivan worked for HRP in television spot sales.

Parmila Phillips, VP, Finance  

Parmila Phillips is the VP, Finance for Outrigger Media. With more than 10 years of start-up and growth company experience, Ms. Phillips brings finance, accounting and operational skill-sets to Outrigger. Parmila received her MBA in Finance and MA in Global Management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.

Advisory Board:

Tom Morgan  

Tom Morgan is a 25-year veteran of the world of interactive services and digital media. For the past seven years Mr. Morgan’s efforts have centered on the business development of On-Demand and Internet based Television, with a particular focus on the new advertising models for DVR’s, VOD, and Broadband TV. Mr. Morgan also recently served as Chief Strategy Officer of Move Networks, the technology platform behind ABC.com, Fox.com, ESPN360  and other Internet Television based sites. Morgan’s previous positions include serving as the first Vice President of Business Development and West Coast General Manager for America Online, where he led the initial product launch in partnership with Apple Computer and developed the first pricing strategies for AOL. Mr. Morgan was also a founding Officer and EVP of Business Development for BroadVision.

Tom Des Jardins  

Tom Des Jardins is a recognized leader in Internet video advertising space having held the position of Chief Architect at AOL.  He was also CTO and founder of Lightningcast, the video advertising system used in Hulu and Platform A, as well as VP Product Management at Affine Systems.  Tom is an experienced Entrepreneur who enjoys helping new companies launch; he works with the LaunchBoxDigital program advising incubating start ups in addition to consulting with companies in the US and EU on matters surrounding scalable infrastructures, targeted advertising and internet business models.

Stuart Bogaty  

Stuart Bogaty is a 15-year veteran of the interactive advertising community and most recently served as the EVP, Global Managing Partner at Universal McCann. Prior to UM, Bogaty served as CEO, NeoSearch@Ogilvy and Managing Director, Neo@Ogilvy New York. He was a key senior member of the management team that built mOne, which became Neo@Ogilvy. Stuart’s clients included Cisco, Lenovo, SAP and Yahoo. Throughout his career, Bogaty has worked at other leading agencies including Cone Interactive, Saatchi & Saatchi and Grey Advertising. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Social Media Advertising Consortium (SMAC) and is a member of the Board of Advisors for Tribal Fusion, MetricMesh, Good Health Advertising, Adpiphany and Undertone Networks.

Josh Siegel  

Josh Siegel is currently VP, Product Management at  Target Media Partners Interactive. Products launched under his leadership have established market leading positions and also received Gartner, PC Magazine and other industry awards. Josh was formerly the Senior Director of Monetization for Veoh Networks where he led ad related strategy, business development, and products for this top ranked online video site. Before that, Josh launch and then inevitably headed the Yahoo! Publisher Network, the second largest contextual ad network in the US. Previously, Josh managed product and marketing efforts for Everdream, a SaaS for IT management now owned by Dell Corporation.
